Ouplaas Campsite

Ouplaas Campsite is situated on the working farm Ysterplaat, in the wonderfully scenic Koue Bokkeveld between Citrusdal and Op-die-Berg, just off the R303. Take a gentle walk around this farm, or hike in the fynbos-covered Cederberg mountains. On hot summer days you can swim in the river pools, or go during the winter months and watch the snowcapped mountains that surrounds the valley. Two accommodation options are available on the farm,  Ouplaas Protea Hut and the Ouplaas Campsite.

Ruins of the oldest buildings on the farm have been adapted to provide facilities for small camping groups of up to 35 people. These facilities include a communal kitchen with a scullery area and work surfaces, but no cooking equipment; braai areas; and an open air (although private) cold shower facing the mountain. It is accessible using high rise vehicles only.
