Campsite Overview

Lake Pleasant is a peaceful, well-shaded resort situated halfway between Wilderness and Knysna on the shores of the Garden Routes only freshwater-lake, Groenvlei. It is the only camping resort along a bass fishing lake in the Southern Cape. There are 55 large, level, and lawned caravan and camping sites with a choice of shady, semi-shade and sunny sites. The sites have electricity and water on each stand or nearby and, to ensure your maximum comfort, they have large, clean, modern ablutions offering plenty of hot water. The campsite also has a well maintained scullery, laundry with token or key operated washing machines and tumble dryers as well as more than adequate clothes lines.

The resort facilities include a squash court as well as a restaurant, pub, convenience store, take-aways, bass shop, tennis court, mountain bikes for hire, 2 swimming pools, swimming at the resort’s Lake Beach, row boats and canoes for hire, a large games area and a self-service laundromat. Whether you enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, or swimming, Lake Pleasant Holiday Resort is the place to be. Whether the sea invites you to cast a fishing line, or the tranquility and abundant birdlife of the park is what you prefer, here you can unwind and relax.
