Campsite Overview

Situated in the gorgeous Cederberg, the Algeria campsite lies on the Rondegat River with a crystal clear pool offering cool relief from the sweltering heat in the summer months. If you love immersing yourself in nature, this campsite is surrounded by towering mountains and nestled below a small forest of enormous gum trees. There are plenty of hiking trails in the area and the one closest to the campsite takes you up the mountain to a beautiful waterfall. If you are up for a drive, the Cederberg wine cellar, which is open for tastings, is about a 30min drive from the campsite.

Great location but can be a bit noisy

Algeria has everything you would want for a camp site incl full ablutions and electricity at each site. It can be a bit noisy though as Algeria caters for everyone.

Algeria - Great Location Site

This campsite is in a great location if you want to explore the Cederberg. It is at the foot of a short day hike to a nearby waterfall and is a short drive to Sanddrif – the start of the Wolfberg Arch/Cracks hike.

The campsite itself is well maintained and has above average amenities available to campers. There are hot water showers and electricity in the bathrooms.

The campsites are set out in such a way that if it is full, it will be noisy.

Camp sites are basic, but it gets a 5 star for the clean state of the site, beautiful river area, and tons of activities to do in the Cederberg!
