CAMPILY is an online camping directory listing hundreds of campsites around South Africa. Each listing offers a brief description, photos, a Google map, available facilities and contact information for each campsite. Our main service is providing campers with a way to filter through the campsites using criteria such as: province, major city, distance from the major city and facilities, making it easier for campers to find the right camping destination to suit their requirements.
Not only that, but you will be able to leave a review or read reviews from other campers’ first-hand experience of the campsite, helping you make an even more informed decision about your next camping destination!
To begin your search, click on the toggle icon 
which is found to the left of the search bar on either the Browse page or Home page. This will expand all your search options: province, closest major city, distance from that city and available facilities. Click the check boxes next to the criteria you would like to filter by and click either the search/magnifier icon at the top or the search button at the bottom. You will be redirected to a search results page listing all the campsites that match your chosen criteria. You can then further filter your search by clicking the toggle icon again and changing the criteria.
You can also search by typing a keyword into the search bar and clicking the search/magnifier icon at the top or the search button at the bottom.
CAMPILY is not an online booking platform. We have provided each campsites contact details and booking channel to make it easy for the camper to book directly with the campsite themselves.
Simply find a campsite that you have recently visited and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Fill in your name and email address, then you can give the campsite a star rating as well as leave a description of your first-hand experience. This will help your fellow camping enthusiasts make a more informed decision whether that particular campsite is where they would like to visit next.
Before reviews are listed live on our website, they are sent to our CAMPILY management team for review who will then make the decision to approve or decline the review. Note that the reviews must be your own first-hand experience of the campsite, and although we understand not all reviews will be positive, CAMPILY maintains the right to decline and delete any reviews that are deemed inappropriate or irrelevant.
CAMPILY does have a dedicated section on its home page for advertisements that involve camping or outdoor-related services and products. At this stage we are still gathering data regarding our website engagement and therefore do not have a rate card for the advertisers yet. We hope to be officially offering this service in 3-6 months time when we can better understand the stats and work out a suitable advertising rate. However, if you are interested in advertising with us regardless, we would love to discuss this with you and perhaps come up with some options. Make contact and let’s chat!
At the time CAMPILY was launched in September 2023, all the information gathered for the listed campsites was acquired online from the individual campsite website, Facebook page or other forms of online media. We endeavour to keep all this information as up-to-date as possible on an on-going basis. However, CAMPILY does not take responsibility for any information that may have changed with regards to any campsite since the launch of this website in September 2023. It is up to the camper to make contact with the individual campsite owner/manager to confirm all the details about the campsite. You can read more on our Terms and Conditions page.
Listing on CAMPILY is free of charge. You just need to contact us and we will let you know the process and what we need from you.
