Campsite Overview

The Camdeboo National Park is located in the Karoo and almost completely surrounds the town of Graaff-Reinet. It contains the Nqweba Dam and the park is located in the foothills of the Snow Mountains with an elevation of between 740 and 1480 metres above sea level.

Accommodation includes 4 rustic, furnished tents at the Lakeview Tented Camp and 15 caravan or tent sites at the Nqweba Camp Sites. The campsites are situated beneath thorn trees on a gravel substrate. Each site has a braai unit and power point. A communal kitchen provides deep freeze, stove top and microwave facilities while the communal ablutions have showers, toilets and a universally accessible unit.

The park is filled with activities for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This includes the picnic and braai sites, 4×4 trails, short and long hiking trails, mountain biking, game viewing, birding and watersports and fishing.
