It is surrounded by an ancient Cederberg sandstone landscape, beyond the realms of imagination. There are a variety of accommodation options available – there is a choice between chalets, glamping and camping.
Spread out beneath tall Bluegum trees, De Pakhuys campsite offers accommodation in the middle of Rocklands. There is an informal camping setup with no need to book. You arrive, register, and pay at the campsite shop, find a spot, setup camp and enjoy. There is plenty of space available on the eleven sites.
The facilities include ablutions with hot showers, a central kitchen area with fridge and electricity, braai facilities at each site. Firewood available at the farm and there is unlimited free WiFi available on the farm. The campsites are within walking distance of the De Pakhuys bouldering area, 100m from a farm lake, which is great for swimming and a 1,2km hike from the waterfall.

Camper Reviews
Campsite Suitable for Rock Climbers
De Pakhuys is perfect for rock climbers since it is in the heart of the Rocklands bouldering region.
The campsite hosts are available when you search for them, and there is hot water available to shower and wash dishes. There are also some utensils available to use, making it a practical stop for light travelers.
The campsite is rugged and if you are looking for a minimal spot, this one is for you.
Undermaintained campsite
Although a beautiful site with access to rocklands and all the necessary amenities it was highly disappointing.
There was no one on site to discuss payment, site booking and any further questions with.
Communal spaces were very dirty and un-kept.
There was loud music and shouting throughout the night.
The only thing that saved this campsite was the setting.
