Camper Reviews
Beautiful nature, lovely setting
Ebb and Glow is a family favourite campsite with many options North and South of the river.
Really busy over school holidays the campsite can get quite full.
North side is more secluded while south side is on the river and more open.
Lots of caravans and there are rondavels and cabins also available. The river is awesome for canoeing and swimming, with wilderness town and its restaurants a short drive/cycle away.
Clean and neat site
We would definetly go back again. The river and green grass makes it a very enjoyable stay.
Tranquil setting
Ebb-and-flow is a beautiful campsite with tranquil setting and stunning facilities. Definitely worth a visit.
Tranquility in Wilderness
My partner and I camped on the river bank in the North camp at Ebb and Flow during the January holidays. It was one amazing experience! This is one of my favourite places to go camping because of how peacefully you feel but yet you’re 2-4 mins away from the Spar in Wilderness. So if you ever run out of something at least you’re not stranded in the wilderness. Pun unintended. I also love that there is a hiking trail on the other side of the river which goes to an amazing waterfall.
We had easy access to the river and was able to climb into the canoes with no hassel. Being close to water has it’s negatives such as mosquitoes so be sure to pack in your mosquitoe repellant. Over all I would definitely recommend. If you book a site with electricity be sure to keep you eye out on the loadshedding schedule, as unfortunate the campsites still get affected by it.
Heaven in Wilderness
This is a beautiful, safe and well kept campsite with lots of beautiful scenery, shade and water. Lots to do in the area for nature lovers and families.
