Ferndale Campsite

Ferndale Campsite is situated on a working cattle, sheep and goat farm in the Henderson valley, just outside Cathcart. It is nestled at the foot of a cliff on the river bank and forms part of a 4×4 trail.

There are three main group campsites that can comfortably accommodate three to four large families each; but the lush grassed grounds can accommodate many more. There are modern ablution blocks and a communal lapa with electricity points, fridges, kettle and a toaster. Camping fees include bonfire wood, soap and toilet paper.

They have various 4×4 trails as well as hiking, biking and horse riding trails. Here, you can also do some game viewing and quad biking. But if that is not your speed, you can spend your leisure time relaxing by the river fishing, canoeing or bird watching.
