Gecko Rock Private Nature Reserve

This eco-adventure destination is situated in the heart of the Karoo, in the Nougaspoort Valley and just 25km from Touwsrivier. Here you can enjoy breath-taking views, a night sky full of stars, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4×4 trails, and game viewing. The reserve offers luxury and standard self-catering cottages as well as 2 campsites – De Wet’s Rus Campsite, which can hold up to 60 people, and Echo Valley Campsite which is more intimate holding up to 10 people. Both campsites offer a sheltered, tin-roofed kitchen, a plunge-pool, central braai area and ablutions showers and toilets. A shop at reception carrying smalls such as firewood, firelighters, matches, tea, coffee, milk, cold drinks, ice, chips, and sweets etc. There are plenty of trees for shade, however seeing as this site is situated in the dry Karoo, the campground is mostly sand and loose, garden gravel.
