Groot Breede Campsite

Groot Breede Campsite is located in the tranquil surroundings of an operational wine and fruit farm situated 155 km from Cape Town and a mere 25 km past Robertson. The campsite was developed where the Groot flows into the Breede River, forming a wetland. The spot is close to the heart of the owner. It remains his wish that the natural ecosystems be preserved, but that area should be open to the public for responsible enjoyment.

The campsite consists of 10 shaded sites situated alongside the river on a flat, grass clearing. Each site takes a maximum of 6 guests, and has an individual water point and electricity point. The ablution block has provides each campsite with a private, lockable unit consisting of a shower basin, and toilets. There are also three additional toilets.

The campsite is easily accessible, so it is suitable for a variety of camping options whether it be a caravan, a tent, or a 4X4 trailer that you are using. On hot summer days, you can enjoy time in the river. There is also plenty of space for riding bikes and going for a walk or run.
