Island Lake Holiday Resort

Island Lake Holiday Resort is situated on the shores of the beautiful Island Lake in the spectacular Wilderness National Park, right in the heart of the famous and majestic Garden Route. The resort is only a 20km drive away from either George or Sedgefield, with the village of Wilderness, just a few minutes away, where restaurants, takeaway’s, supermarkets and pubs can be found. The resort comprises of a caravan park, campsites, rondavels and self-catering accommodation. The 55 well-grassed, shaded and level stands are large and spacious. Each is equipped with 20-amp electricity and drinkable water taps nearby. However, you will need to bring your own braai and grid.

Most sites you have a view of the lake with launching facilities for a canoe or speedboat nearby. At Island Lake you can pass your time skiing on the lake, fishing, swimming or simply relaxing on the water’s edge. The area sports an abundance of indigenous trees where over 280 species of bird life can be found. The view are stunningly beautiful and is nature’s own gentle relief from the stress and strain of modern life.
