Karoo National Park

Situated approximately 12km from Beaufort West, The Karoo National Park faces the beautiful Nuweveld Mountains and is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The park is now home to approximately 63 species of mammals and over 200 species of birds. Accommodation consists of self-catering cottages with breakfast included, and camping/caravan sites. Campsites come complete with electrical points, communal ablutions and kitchen facilities with stove plates and a scullery. Activities include game drives, hiking and 4×4 trails. There is also a licensed restaurant, bird hide, shop supplying curios and basic commodities, laundry facilities and a public swimming pool.
