Mertenhof Biedouw 4×4

The Mertenhof farm is situated in the bottom of the Biedouw Valley, beyond Agter Pakhuis, east of Clanwilliam, about 2.5 hours from Cape Town. You can pitch your trailers and tents on a lovely grass campsite, with trees that provide shade for those hot afternoons. The separate men’s and ladies ablution facilities offers hot water showers and flush toilets. Only a few campsites have electricity available. There is also 2x self-catering guest houses, situated directly next to campsite.

Her you can enjoy the 4×4 route, which will lead you from campsite to the hidden beautiful and unique potholes, waterfalls and large swimming holes in Biedouw River. Or you can pack your mountain bike and hit the surrounding dirt roads, or follow some of the hiking trails in the area.

There is also a small farm stall situated on campsite from where you can purchase wood, locally made jams, ice, cooldrinks etc.
