Campsite Overview

Papkuilsfontein Guest Farm is located about a 4-hour drive from Cape Town, just outside the town of Nieuwoudtville. Here you can view an awesome canyon and its 100m waterfall, experience the rich bird life, fauna and San rock art, and swim in the cool waters of a natural rock pool or in the pools at the cottages.

The accommodation is divided between 3 locations: Papkuilsfontein Farm, Matjiesfontein Historical Werf and De Lande Farm. Each location has a variety of beautiful self-catering, farm-style cottages to choose from, each characterised by its own unique rustic charm.

The communal campsite and 4 eco campsites are located on the Papkuilsfontein Main Guest Farm. All sites offer beautiful vistas over the Hantamsberg Mountains to the east and the canyon cliffs to the west. The Eco campsites are 50m apart from each other, with natural vegetation between campsites, offering privacy. You also have the option to order your meals from the Farm Kitchen.

All campsites include a braai area, a private ablution with gas-fired geysers and solar-powered lights, as well a washing up area. There is a maximum of 4 people per campsite, and there is no electricity available.

At the heart of the farm is the Farm Kitchen, where you pre-book homemade meals, as well as where breakfasts are served for non-self-catering guests.
