Campsite Overview

Port O’ Call is situated along the beachfront in Trafalgar, a small coastal town on the lower south coast of Kwazulu-Natal, midway between Margate to the north and Port Edward to the south. Two beach paths provide direct access to 5km of uninterrupted beach with Marina Beach and San Lameer to the north and Mpenjati Nature Reserve and Palm Beach to the south.

The park slopes towards the sea resulting in mainly terraced sites which in turn allow for ample space between sites ensuring some privacy. Sites are grassed except for a few with dense shade and all sites are provided with 10amp electrical points.

On-site recreation facilities comprise of a recreation hall with table tennis tables, dart boards and colour television, a playground and a trampoline. A sparkling swimming and paddling pool will keep the children from mischief and Mom and Dad cool on those days when they prefer to laze around the park.

We maintain spotless ablutions and sculleries. A laundromat is on the premises and is operated by our own staff during school holidays. Nighttime security is provided and during busy times access is controlled.

The area is generally unspoilt and during low tides, the shallow reefs can be explored with snorkels and walkers will find the long sandy beaches ideal for their daily walks. There are five golf courses and numerous other sporting and entertainment facilities available between Shelly Beach and the Wild Coast Casino.
