Simonskloof Mountain Retreat

This off-grid, eco-friendly retreat is 2-3 hours drive from Cape Town and is characterised by the surrounding landscape Karoo and mountain Fynbos. It offers 8 rustic and secluded campsites, either shaded or unshaded, grassy or un-grass. The ablutions rustic and offer compost toilets and showers heated with traditional “donkey-boilers”. At Simonskloof you can enjoy a host of activities: hiking, mountain biking, swimming in rock pools, and guided outdoor activities such as: canyoning, wilderness trekking as well as abseiling. There is also the option to book out one of their colourful, down-to-earth cottages, if camping is not your speed.
