St Bernards Peak Mountain Lodge

Situated at the foothills of the majestic Southern Drakensberg, surrounded by expansive farmlands, and set beneath age-old oak, gum and cypress trees, St Bernards epitomises everything you would imagine a country retreat to be. It offers charming thatched cottages built with an age-old technique using wattle and daub (mud). This Lodge is set along the edge of a stream, with spectacular mountain views. The fantastic bird and wildlife scenery is something any outdoors adventurist would not want to miss.

Accommodation is offered in the form of comfortable thatched cottages, spacious, charming and uniquely decorated, as well as caravan and camping sites. Campers can make use of all amenities and enjoy the great outdoors.

At St Bernards there’s a bit of something for everyone, from relaxing in the gardens or at the well-maintained swimming pool to playing tennis or catching trout in on the well-stocked dam. Horse rides are a favourite with the children and mountain bikers can enjoy cross country trails. A picnic basket can be ordered and enjoyed anywhere on the property or surrounding mountains. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a well-deserved refreshment at the pub, play some pool or a game of darts or relax around the fire.
