Waterval Resort

Waterval Resort is a hidden paradise in the Maskam, about 35km from Vanrhynsdorp and 336km from Cape Town. Caravan and tent sites are available, with power supplies and ablution facilities close at hand. There are also self-catering chalets for hire, as well as 2 “lapa” buildings with braai facility for about 30 people.

Here you can enjoy the local hiking trails and rock climbing routes as well as thousands of birds for the bird lovers. The resorts biggest attraction is a 380 meter waterfall in the Troe-Troe River, one of South Africa’s biggest. Rock art of the Khoisan community living in these mountains is also on view on the Maskam mountain rocks.
