White Mountain Resort

Nestled in an idyllic valley in the foothills of the Giant’s Castle Nature Reserve in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu-Natal, White Mountain Resort is not only serious about providing a relaxing, stress-free family holiday destination, but also a productive and comfortable conference and business environment.

White Mountain Lodge offers rooms and chalets with self-catering or full board facilities, accommodating between 2 to 6 occupants with well-equipped kitchenettes, which make self-catering easy. Heaters and winter sheets provided ensure that even during those winter nights, a cosy restful sleep is guaranteed. While a superette and laundry make for easy access to those essential requirements.

The lodge boasts 30 levelled and grassy sites with large shade trees. Power points are available at the sites, some might require you to bring a 15+m extension cord to reach them. Water points and braai facilities are available at each site, but you will need to bring your own grid. Communal ablutions have hot water, showers, basins and flushing toilets, and a scullery is provided for washing dishes.

Abseiling, a cross-valley zipline, river rafting, hiking, fishing, fantastic dining, historical sightseeing or plain old relaxing are all provided for, with qualified instructors and helpful staff to make each of these experiences as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
