Xama Fish Eagle River Camp is a rustic bush camp and river venue situated on the banks of the Breede River, just 25 minutes drive from the historical town of Swellendam and only 3 hours from the Cape Town CBD. It’s the perfect place to soak up mother nature and immerse yourself in the great outdoors.
The campsites are grassed with trees for ample shade. Each campsite in the main area has access to electrical points. There are 2 non-electrified campsites. 3 set up dome tents with bed + bedding can be provided for those looking for a camping experience but with no gear as well as 2 glamping cabins.

Great campsite with amazing river
The river is spectacular at Xama. Bring your kayak and floaties. There are a few small rapids. The fishing is also great here.
Grounds are lush and green. Away from everything including no cell phone reception which I love to get away from while camping.
